COVID-19 Response

Like everyone else we have had to make some tough decisions in light of the COVID-19 situation. With things changing so quickly, it is not possible to keep the latest information posted here. Refer to other relevant sources and stay safe. The club will use social media and is busily working on the use of online meeting tools in order to finalise the summer season and keep you all informed. And check our Facebook page for posts.

In response to directions from government authorities and our peak sporting bodies:

  • All competitions, club-organised coaching and holiday clinics are cancelled
  • The Junior Presentation event scheduled for Sunday 29 March is postponed
  • The Annual General Meeting scheduled for Sunday 29 March is postponed
  • The club is closed until further notice

2019-20 Season wrap-up

Thanks so much to all of our organisers and volunteers for your work this season. The roles of the Team Coordinators are challenging but made so much easier by the amazing people who step up to support the teams each week.

Some form of presentation event will be organised in the near future - we are trying to be creative and will be in touch soon.

Congratulations to all the players for this year's summer competition - there has been so much improvement not only in skills, but in the ways the teams have played together and supported one another and been supported by their families - this is what community sport is all about.

Stonehenge Redevelopment Project

Redevelopment

Many of you will be aware that the Adelaide Hills Council received a significant State government grant to redevelop our Stonehenge Reserve courts and find a new home for the Stirling Comets Netball Club. Although a major redevelopment is now unlikely at Stonehenge, we are still working closely with Council to ensure some funds are dedicated to resurfacing our courts in early 2020.

Other works of note:

  • The toilet block will be refurbished this year
  • New LED lights will be installed 0n Court 5 during this season
  • The court surrounds are now being professionally maintained for us at moderate cost

FAST4 TENNIS returning soon

FAST4 Tennis

Stay tuned for details of our next FAST 4 season. Just 4 players per team, and a 6-week season. FAST4 is doubles only and played with a lower compression ball. 3 sets of FAST 4 doubles (first to 4 games). Register here

We need at least 4 players per team – team cost is $20 per night, gold coin donation for sausage sizzle and very fairly priced drinks.

All welcome – please invite family and friends. As regards children playing, we would prefer a Division 1, 2 or 3 standard please (chat with us if you need an exception – I’m sure I can bend some rules).

SA Club of the Year!

We were awarded SA's Country Club of the Year - for the third time in 9 years. Congratulations to our dedicated band of volunteers, our hard-working committee, our overly jubilant coach and all of our loyal members. Photos on our Facebook page and also at Tennis SA.
